GNOME Shell – Ambiance Theme

This is a GNOME Shell theme based on the Ubuntu Lucid theme called Ambiance.

Curved panel and various elements.

Translucency support.

Shadow support.

Ubuntu Empathy like chat theme for the chat area.

Themed notifications.

Transitions and hover and click states.

My "recent items" seem to be broken, so it may not be themed properly because I cannot do this currently.

This theme is based on GNOME Shell 2.31.4.

Installation Instructions:

Backup your /usr/share/gnome-shell/theme directory.

Extract the and copy the theme directory to /usr/share/gnome-shell/

Restart GNOME Shell by Alt, F2, then type r and press enter.

  1. i am not able to copy the theme folder to the gnome shell/theme folder.there is no paste option for me when i click right button.

  2. you are not the owner so you cannot change these permissions.
    i am getting this in the permission tab.

  3. you need to browse as root before changing the permissions dewd.
    $ sudo nautilus
    do it from there but be careful when browsing as root you dont delete and edit stuff because you could stuff it all up real good.
