  1. I tried this on my G3 iMac running Ubuntu 10.04. The final apt-get firefox-4.0 step fails saying “no installation candidate”. It is a PPC machine of course, so do I need to use another PPA, or is firefox 4 just unavailable on my architecture at the moment?

  2. I wouldn’t recommend using the daily branch unless you want an unstable web browser, or your testing for the mozilla team.

For a more stable branch, use the stable PPA:
    ppa:mozillateam/firefox-stable
