How to install flashget download manager in ubuntu

FlashGet is a leading download manager and has the highest amount of users on the internet. It uses MHT(Multi-server Hyper-threading Transportation) technique, supports various protocols and has excellent document management features. FlashGet is a freeware without any adware or spyware.

Install flashget download manager in ubuntu

First you need to download .deb package from here once you have .deb package install by double clicking on it or run the following command from your terminal

sudo dpkg -i flashget-1.0.2-0_en.noarch.deb

Now you can open flashget from Applications->Internet->FlashGet

  2. it is not installing.
    i tried both 1.0.2 and 1.0.3.
    it is showing the error:

    dpkg: error processing /home/luis/Downloads/flashget-1.0.3-0_en.noarch.deb (–install):
    parsing file ‘/var/lib/dpkg/tmp.ci/control’ near line 7 package ‘flashget':
    error in Version string ‘v1.0.3-beta1′: version number does not start with digit
