Open the terminal and run the following commands

    Sorry, should have been more concise.

    Laptop was running Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid).

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:glasen/intel-driver
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-intel
