Kubuntu 11.04 (when its ready) is the way to go if you’e partial to Ubuntu. Performance is beautiful and smooth, best ever and way ahead of Linux Mint 10 KDE which I’m trying right now (dissappointing).

So if you’re wanting to try KDE 4.6 on Ubuntu, wait for the 11.04 release, its very good.
