Just to give you an update about this font…

My package for ttf-rufscript has been accepted into Debian Sid so the next version of Ubuntu (Jaunty) will have it in the default repositories.

You can also just download the font directly http://hiran.in/content/fonts/rufscript/Rufscript010.ttf and copy it to the “.fonts” folder under you home folder.

Thanks Guys, It worked now.. after sudo apt-get update.

After installing from package download, I has some error on authentication. I hope it will not happen when we do through sudo apt-get install

Ramesh: Did you update the aptitude cache first? (e.g. sudo aptitude update).

Before you do sudo apt-get install ttf-rufscript, you have to do:

sudo apt-get update

Then do sudo apt-get install ttf-rufscript again.

I went ahead and took a shot at a debian package.

Ubuntu Hardy and Intrepid packages can be found in my ppa:

This is my first time packaging a font, so any comments would be appreciated. It becomes usable in OpenOffice, ect immediately on install but to use on the desktop it seems Gnome needs to be restarted. I don’t know if that’s normal.
