I've been, for the past months, trying the feed readers you mentioned, and Canto blows all of them away:

http://codezen.org/canto/

Has: filters + configurable keybindings + clean interface

It may not seem at first, but it's easy to install.

Also, the author is very responsive to bugs and new features. Try it.

I started up a new web based RSS reader called <a href="http://feedsanywhere.com"target="_blank" rel="nofollow">FeedsAnywhere</a> thats designed for any size screen with a consistent interface. I use it on my laptop, desktop, and BlackBerry. It's distinguishing feature is an Interesting view that picks out the most interesting feeds based on what you have previously viewed, saved, or marked interesting.

It's developed completely in Linux (using KDE4 and Quanta) and tested the first. It will work on IE and Safari too if you are forced into some non-Linux time. :-)

Actually if you use Sage for Firefox I recommend you just install it as any other addon rather than use the repository.

The repository is old compared to what you get by installing it via Firefox, and installing via Firefox is dead easy.

Just go here and follow instructions:

Google reader is now my choice. Accessible from everywhere in the world. And why use a software to browse web feeds? I simply use webware to browse web feeds.
