The Music Applet was working wonderfully in Jaunty, but is only working with a couple of the programs listed in the plugins under Karmic. Even the ones that are "working" are intermittently doing nothing, arrrgh.

Par for the course for Ubuntu, I guess, is that we're using 2.5.0 even though 2.5.1 has been out for almost a year. The author ended the project entirely months ago in favor of an improved alternative called Panflute -- current release 0.5.3 -- which currently isn't available in the repos for Ubuntu or GetDeb. Sigh.

You seem to have missed out on one of the first UI improvements Google made over the Yahoo model. Focus on content, not advertising. It seems especially true in your RSS feed.
