I received the same error notification as well. To my knowledge, Canonical does not limit shipments to individuals.
Cool! I have received 9.04 a half year ago and now I ordered new one, cool!
same for me 🙁
I dont know but I think its better for the environment to not order and send plastic pieces around the world. Download instead.
Clear your cookies, make a new account with a new email address and you should be able to order a copy.
And the same for me… They did not warn. Desperation…
My request was accepted.
Thanks for the info : )
there’s no option to order 64 bit :'(
I just got this same B.S. message from Ubuntu. I pre-ordered the version that was released in April, one copy. And then I ordered another copy for my parents to use about a month ago. Now I try to pre-order kaola and it gave me that B.S. message that I’ve ordered too many. TWO copies is beyond the maximum allowed? God, I am so Pissed at Ubuntu!!!
@ Storm
How can you pissed at someone how is giving you something that you want and for free ?
Try again in few days, I am sure you will be able to order.
@ Swimsuit:
Ever try to download 700+MB over dialup? Those that have fast connections I’m quite sure are already downloading their copies as they would get them much quicker if they downloaded. Not everyone is on high speed though, you know.
@ Storm:
It’s this very entitlement attitude that is the reason for this world being in the shape it’s in. No one owes you a F’n thing! ESPECIALLY when you’re not giving a damn thing in return. Here’s an idea. You already got two CDs from them.. Make your own copies! You’re on dialup too, you say? Ok, then, I dunno, PURCHASE a CD from Canonical?
You people are getting something that is miles better than anything Microsoft puts out and charges over $100 for, which, up until several years ago was really the only option for PC users. Why not throw these guys a bone for all the hard work the put in for you? If you ask me, any GNU/Linux package is worth more than any version of Windows. Therefore you should be willing to pay at least what MS charges (Seeing as Windows sells extremely well at the ludicrous prices they charge).
God, grow up you two.
Just erase your cookies and create a new account, it worked for me.
Registering with a new mail id worked for me. I’m able to place the order for 9.10 CD 🙂
