hey, this package tries to install java as a dependency, but I already have java installed (Hardy). I don’t want this package to install its own java package and screw up my system. does anyone know how to install this package but without java (I already have java)???

http://www.tvcatchup.com - only available in UK. You can stream any of the Freeview channels.

Nice app, but it appears to be pretty useless in the US. I presume this is because of the idiotic copyright issues we have here.

Was unable to install it - resulted in this error

dpkg-deb (subprocess): short read in buffer_copy (failed to write to pipe in copy)
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste returned error exit status 2
dpkg: error processing tvbrowser_2.7.3-1_all.deb (--install):
short read in buffer_copy (backend dpkg-deb during `usr/share/tvbrowser/plugins/CalendarExportPlugin.jar’)
Errors were encountered while processing:
tvbrowser_2.7.3-1_all.deb

I’ve downloaded the program but when I run through terminal, I get an error message:

dpkg: error processing tvbrowser_2.7.3-1_all.deb (--install):
cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
tvbrowser_2.7.3-1_all.deb

Any clue what I’m doing wrong??
