Uhh my problem:
./winexs-
./winexs: Exec format error. Binary file not executable.

wine winexs-
wine: Module not found

./winetricks
this whole massive thing that looks like:
Select a package to install
Cancel art2kmin atmlib cmake colorprofile comct132 comct132.ocx controlpad corefonts…
and so on.
what am i doing wrong?

when I run the command. / winexs the following message:

bash: ./winexs: No such file or directory

yes, just add it through the menu config and link it to your binary file “winexs”

Would someone expand on the above quote, to give detailed instructions on making a link to “winexs” so it can be started more convinently.

I got this extracted and opened, but it doesn’t work. For example, I click on Install Software, grab what I want from a cd with a Windows program on it, click install…and nothing happens.

Looks good. I find it frustrating when I have to kill rogue wine processes off with killall or kill. Some applications just don’t start right and its best to virtually reboot your wine.

well crossover may nt be free but it works like a charm , so easy to use and it is nt that expensive either

It is NOT like Crossover. Crossover is a commercial product based on Wine with changes made to the Wine source code. This is more like PlayOnLinux or Wine-Doors. It’s a GUI for running and managing OFFICIAL Wine installs. Nothing more, nothing less. While Crossover and similar products like Cedega DO have a GUI, they do NOT use native Wine. They use their own customized versions of Wine with DirectX extensions and other additional code. This does not come with any customized version of Wine.

Say, that “install system libraries” screen
looks a lot like winetricks. Are you using
winetricks internally?

Also, I didn’t see the source code for winesx.
Is it available?

I am new to this stuff.. I have Wine installed.. How do I add this GUI, if wine already installed. Maybe I missed something here but I can’t see how.
