Folder Color – Change the color of your folders in Ubuntu

Install folder color in ubuntu

Open the terminal and run the following commands

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:costales/folder-color
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install folder-color -y

    I can only get this to work under Gnome. It doesn’t work with Unity, Cinnamon, Mate.
    Ubuntu 14.04-x86_amd64.
    Please let me know if there is any way to get it working in Cinnamon.

    It works with Nautilus. You can use it with any Desktop, but with Nautilus File Browser 😉
