Elements is a plugin for Compiz Fusion 0.7.4 which integrates all the features of the popular Snow, Autumn, Fireflies, and Stars plugins, plus an all new feature, Bubbles. Written from the ground-up with only open source software, Elements is designed to be free, fast, and fun. It's also fully customizable. You want flower petals falling in spring? Draw the petals and use them with the Autumn feature. Want to have toasters flying towards you at warp speed? Take a picture of your toaster and use it with the Stars feature. Feel really adventuresome? Take a look at the code and make it your own. Elements is completely free and released under the GNU General Public Licence (GPL).

I always wanted something extra in compiz fusion. I liked Autumn plugin of all of them.

I must have set of plugins for every compiz fusion user.

I had to replace the compiz-bcop package with compiz-fusion-bcop in the ‘apt-get’ line of the script to get it to work.

    Vaughan is right.
To make the Elements script work on Ubuntu 8.10 you must replace the compiz-bcop packet with the compiz-fusion-bcop packet!

Please put a note for novice users!

Ubuntu users, don’t try this method for Elements !

The project was retired since 12/31/08, as you can see on the Element’s website :

    Instead, use :
    sudo apt-get install compiz-fusion-plugins-unsupported

    Universe/X11 repository, Intrepid (8.10) version : 0.7.8-0intrepid1

    Have fun 😉

    Hi,

I feel a bit stupid but I can’t find the Autumn (nor Elements, nor Bubble…) entries in CCSM… Any clue? (yes, I installed compiz-fusion-plugins-unsupported and -extra)

    Thanks,

    –jan
