Thanks!! The default themes are quite bad and seem not quite finished (Icons for example are a mixture of orange/pink in Paces).

Thank you very much for the themes. I want to ask, how do I install the Quick Launch bar, which is used in the themes?

Nice post, but please add bigger screenshots the next time. You can’t really see any details.

Sometimes you have to enter the commands above more than once. The first command shown above failed the first time but worked just fine on the second try. Which tells me the author has made the recommended actions immediately popular. So the site may be getting hammered from time to time.

This download isn’t stable. I’d say it would be wise to wait.
The download corrupted my ICE repository. Several GNOME applets are now unfound upon startup, and I’m prompted to delete them. Firefox icon on desktop doesn’t load browser, instead says Firefox is already running then closes. Chrome won’t load at all.

Also beware if you are running dual wide-screen monitors. After applying a theme background, I’m now having problems getting my desktop backgrounds to center across both screens as they should.

    Hello, everyone,

I have a question regarding themes (ubuntu 10.04).
After installing Aqua Dreams theme, the taskbar does not change to the one like Aqua Dreams.

How can i change the normal or typical taskbar(Gnome) to the one shown in the picture Aqua Dreams. Thanks..

  11. Markus says:

    To Eddie,

They are showing a dock – I use Docky, but other options are Cairo Dock and AWN.

Then you drag and drop the apps you want on to it.

Also, you have to remove the bottom panel yourself.

    Enjoy!
