Install Opera 10.10 in Ubuntu

First you need to download .deb package from here

Once you have .deb package install using the following command

sudo dpkg -i opera_10.10.4742.gcc4.qt3_i386.deb

    sudo apt-get update

    I’ve used Opera for a long time in conjunction with Firefox. I love Operas ‘snapiness’, mail client and overall interface however I could never seem to get embedded media and plugins to work very well. for instance I am fairly certain Totem is not compatible with Opera.

    Perhaps one day there would be an article to address that!

    once you choose from the i386 and download it can be directly open with the package installer…its awsome 🙂
