DayFolder for Ubuntu.

Here’s what it does:

Takes the files from your desktop and moves them to a directory named with the day’s date in your specified “DayFolder” directory.
Do this from the application indicator in the panel of the desktop.
Change the directory your daily DayFolder is created.
Choose between a daily, weekly, or monthly folder to help organize the way you want.
Set specific destinations for single file types (for example, you can have all your .png files be moved to your Pictures folder).
