sorry
It works for me
thank you
What I’m really after is an app with a GUI that will break down traffic by application and ideally to provide an option to throttle certain bandwidth greedy applications.
Anyone know of such an application or one that is in development?
Is it possible to add censor function and URL monitor to block and to see links?
nethogs
Thanks rbhkamal, that’s nethogs is a great little app.
I’m now using it in conjunction with another app called trickle to throttle the bandwidth hogging programs on my system.
Nice tool, thanks for sharing.
Nevertheless, I need something slightly different. I need a network monitor that tells (in real time, no need for logging, though it wouldn’t hurt) which applications are using the network. Any ideas?
Great software and about to give it a try but does anyone know of some other application which can tell which specific is taking the bandwith share like in Windows Resource Manager Network Tab

It’s always a good idea 2 lookup a project’s Homepage, since bloggs are quite static… if… no one is behind to update outdated download links and such info’s contained – be aware of this! Whereever.
