California is a new calendar application for GNOME 3. It's currently under heavy development.

Planned Features

Modern, clean interface
Quick setup (if any is required at all)
Uses EDS for calendar access, potentially other specialized backends (i.e. GData)
Quickly add events with natural-language parser
Desktop notification of events

Install California in ubuntu

Open the terminal and run the following commands

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yorba/daily-builds
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install california
