How to change Unity Launcher at the bottom of your Desktop in Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial Xerus)

By default your unity launcher is located as follows

If you want to change this to bottom of your desktop follow this procedure

Make sure you have upto date ubuntu 16.04 desktop using the following commands

sudo apt update

sudo apt dist-upgrade -y

After installing all the updates it is better to restart your desktop to refresh all the changes.

Now you need to install dconf-editor

DConf is a low-level key/value database designed for storing desktop environment settings.This package contains the command line tools. Note that DConf is not connected with the older Debian package named dconf.

sudo apt-get install dconf-editor

Now you need to lauch the dconf-editor using the following command

dconf-editor

Go to com--unity---launcher on the right hand side change launcher positon change from left to bottom.After the change you should see similar to the following screen
