I have installed Firefox 4 latest beta but i cant find it .
look in:
Applications> Internet> Minefield 4.0 Web Browser
Cheers Peter
with the daily update I now also find
Applications> Internet> Namoroka Web Browser (Firefox pre-release) that runs my plugins better and it has my old bookmark bar back too!
And an unexpected but not unwelcome change is Thunderbird has become Shredder, another test package that runs smoothly.
After I found Minefield, it was an easy launch. Surprised when tabs were at the very top instead of the customary default FireFox location.
64 AMD Tourion X2 no problem! The product appears to work well on my linux OS on a 64 bit Pavillion laptop.
Excellent product, and I am looking forward to the production release.

Just wondering but is there a way I can rename Minefield to mozilla firefox and get the firefox icon? Also I would like to delete the old version of firefox because it’s still there.
will this 4.0 Beta “mature” into 4.0 upon release?
How about Slasher/Thunderbird?
bottom line: should I remove both and install 4.0 and 3.3 when available?
thanks!
Peter
How do you uninstall minefield 4.0 through the terminal?
I cannot seem to remove Minefield and get Firefox 4. Every time I try to reinstall, it drags up either Minefield or Namoroka.
I’m guessing that these betas do not mature into the final version. If anyone could post a working guide, that’d be awesome.
I followed the instructions in this link >

I did not do any uninstall, Minefield is still there but Namoroka is gone and FF 4.0 is in use.
