Important Note:- This is still in development so do not install in production system
Install linux kernel 3.5 RC in ubuntu using PPA
Open the terminal and run the following commands
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
If you want to uninstall this you can run the following commands
sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
sudo ppa-purge ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa
Well, nothing there right at this time. I’ll give it a try later.
thanks! my 3d sound works only on 3.5…
I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am for this. Thanks to those USB fixes you mentioned, my mouse works for the first time since Linux 2.6! Now I’m not stuck on Debian Squeeze! Hooray!
Just a note:
This also installs/updates loads of other packages, not all of which are stable. In my case it broke my nfs setup and trying to revert via ‘sudo ppa-purge ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa’ broke my installation.
