Install multimedia codecs,encrypted DVD playback,Openjdk and Oracle Java in Ubuntu 14.04

We have new version of ubuntu released and you want watch videos and DVD's install the following applications

Install multimedia codecs and encrypted DVD playback

Open the terminal and run the following command

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras libavcodec-extra

Enable encrypted DVD playback using the following commands

sudo apt-get install libdvdread4

sudo /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh

This will install the following packages

Open the terminal and run the following command

sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jdk

Install Oracle Java 7

Open the terminal and run the following commands

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install oracle-java7-installer
