JFBChat is a simple application that lets you chat with your Facebook friends without using a Web browser.
Install jfbchat in ubuntu
Download .deb package from here .Once you have deb package double click on it to install this package
You can search jfbchat in dash
once it opens you should see similar to the following screen
Preferences screen
Meh. Just use Pidgin or Empathy. One of them is probably already installed.
