Install Nanoshot in ubuntu 10.10/10.04

Open the terminal and run the following commands

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nanoshot/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nanoshot

You may want to use Nanoshot with the package «python-appindicator» in Lucid, but in the official repositories there is only an old version of «python-appindicator» (0.0.19). Nanoshot requires at least version 0.2.2, so you need to update the package from the repositories Maverick Meerkat. To do this, instead of the method described above, use:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nanoshot/ppa

sudo sh -c ‘echo "deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/maverick-tmp.list'

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install nanoshot

sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/maverick-tmp.list

sudo apt-get update
