Xnoise is a media player for GTK+ with an intuitive user interface, great speed and lots of features.

Xnoise allows listening to music and playing video in a very intuitive way: You can easily search the library and drag each artist, album or title to the tracklist (to any position in any order). In the tracklist all queued tracks (music or video) are played one by one without being removed. There, you can reorder, insert or remove any track as it comes to your mind.

Welcome to the Raring Ringtail Beta 1 release, which will in time become the 13.04 release.

This alpha features images for Edubuntu, Kubuntu, Lubuntu, UbuntuKylin, Ubuntu Cloud, Ubuntu Studio and Xubuntu.

At the end of the 12.10 development cycle, the Ubuntu desktop and server flavours decided that they would reduce the number of milestone images going forward and the focus would concentrate on daily quality and fortnightly testing rounds known as cadence testing. Based on that change, the Ubuntu products themselves will not have a Beta 1 release. Its first milestone release will be the FinalBetaRelease on the 28th of March 2013. Other Ubuntu flavours have the option to release using the usual milestone schedule.

The PhotoFiltre LX project has begun, this is an effort to bring quick, simple image editing on Linux to the masses. After PhotoFiltre LX is developed it will be enhanced with more features and functionality. Apart from PhotoFiltre being my favourite image editor it is also extremely popular with many other people who would like to use it on Linux for its speed and simplicity.
