Nathive is a libre software image editor, similar to Adobe Photoshop, Corel Photo-Paint or GIMP, but focused on usability, logic and providing a smooth learning curve for everyone. The project runs in the GNOME desktop environment and anyone is welcome to collaborate on it with code, translations or ideas.

qshutdown is a Qt program to shutdown/reboot/suspend/hibernate the computer at a given time or after a certain number of minutes. It shows the time until the corresponding request is send to either the Gnome- or KDE-session-manager, to HAL or to DeviceKit and if none of these works the command ‘sudo shutdown -P now' is used. This program may be useful for people who want to work with the computer only for a certain time.

LibreOffice is a free and open source office suite, developed by The Document Foundation. It was forked from OpenOffice.org in 2010, which was an open-sourced version of the earlier StarOffice. The LibreOffice suite comprises programs to do word processing, spreadsheets, slideshows, diagrams and drawings, maintain databases, and compose mathematical formulae.

If you have used terminal emulators like guake or tilda the concept of altyo shouldn’t be new – it is a terminal emulator always running in the background with a hotkey binding. This is convenient because you always have a handy terminal with the context of your last working state. altyo is written in vala, depends only on libvte and gtk3. It is a very rich application with a strong focus on visual and usability aspects. Though evilvte is my favourite terminal emulator it is not very flexible with configuration at runtime.
