Kate Stewart of the Ubuntu release team has announced the release of Natty Narwhal Alpha 1. Natty is the most anticipated Ubuntu version as it will replace Gnome Shell with Unity in the desktop environment. The ‘old' Gnome desktop environment is now called ‘Ubuntu Desktop Classic'. We will soon be publishing first glance of Natty Alpha 1.
