Install flv2dvd in Ubuntu hardy
You need to edit the /etc/apt/sources.list file using the following command
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Then add the fallowing line to the bottom
deb http://ubuntu.global-web.us/hardy binary/
Save and exit the file
Update the source list using the following comamnd
sudo apt-get update
Install flv2dvd using the following command
sudo apt-get install flv2dvd
Using flv2dvd
simple stick the (single flv file) into an empty directory, cd into it and type in (flv2dvd *) without the quates. The end result is a dvd iso that you can burn using your favorate cd burner.
mkdir flvtest
for example if you have music.flv file in flvtest directory
cd flvtest
flv2dvd *
Now you should be having dvd iso that you can burn using your favorate cd burner.
Hi,

sudo apt-get install ffmpeg
ffmpeg -i movie.mpg movie.wmv
Additionally, if you use DEVEDE it will natively accept the flv files when you make menus with it. Simply add the files and name the menu title. It also has a gui which is easily used.
Hi, Venhow, you can try Aunsoft flv converter to convert flv to rmvb or rm ,

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against

The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
flv2dvd: Depends: lame-extras but it is not installable
E: Broken packages
Had the same problem. To get lame-extras download it from here:
http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/multiverse/l/lame/
and then just do a dpkg -i
Please update this article for Ubuntu 10.04.
I knew that adding deb http://ubuntu.global-web.us/hardy binary/ was wrong for lucid, so I tried:
deb http://ubuntu.global-web.us/lucid binary/
and then tried do a apt-get update. The update failed. I’m not sure how to resolved this.
