Install bisigi themes in Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick)
Open the terminal and run the following commands
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bisigi
sudo aptitude update
sudo apt-get install bisigi-themes
or click on apt://bisigi-themes
If you want to install each theme separately use the following commands
AquaDreams: sudo apt-get install aquadreams-theme
Ubuntu Sunrise: sudo apt-get install ubuntu-sunrise-theme
Bamboo-Zen: sudo apt-get install bamboo-zen-theme
Step into Freedom: sudo apt-get install step-into-freedom-theme
Tropical: sudo apt-get install tropical-theme
Exotic: sudo apt-get install exotic-theme
Balanzan: sudo apt-get install balanzan-theme
Wild Shine: sudo apt-get install wild-shine-theme
Infinity: sudo apt-get install infinity-theme
Showtime: sudo apt-get install showtime-theme
Orange: sudo apt-get install orange-theme
Ellanna: sudo apt-get install ellanna-theme
AirLines: sudo apt-get install airlines-theme
Eco: sudo apt-get install eco-theme
Showtime for Gnome

Remove Bisigi themes
Open the terminal and run the following command
sudo aptitude remove bisigi-themes
Something like this for kubuntu/kde?
Finally something similar to the Jaunty look (balanzan), so far the best Ubuntu look I’ve seen.

hi. i;ve done all commands:

but nothing happens. im very noob to ubuntu
appearance preferences does not show anything new :c

Does installing these themes change the login screen as pictured?
-If so, would the use or previous installation of “ubuntu-tweak” affect anything?

Follow these steps to add free and attractive themes to Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala:
1. First you have to edit the /etc/apt/sources.list. To do it, open a terminal and type the following command:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/bisigi/ppa/ubuntu karmic main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/bisigi/ppa/ubuntu karmic main
gpg –keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:11371 –recv-key 881574DE && 881574DE “>gpg -a –export 881574DE | sudo apt-key add –
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install zgegblog-themes
Nice Ubuntu themes for Jaunty and Intrepid Users and this is updated for karmic users now
For Ubuntu Karmic users
First edit /etc/apt/sources.list file
gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
add the following lines
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/bisigi/ppa/ubuntu karmic main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/bisigi/ppa/ubuntu karmic main
Save and exit the file
add the GPG key using the following command
gpg –keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:11371 –recv-key 881574DE && gpg -a –export 881574DE | sudo apt-key add –
Or simply use the following command
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bisigi
Update the source list using the following command
sudo add-apt update
Install all the themes using the following command
sudo apt-get install zgegblog-themes
or click on the following link
sudo apt://zgegblog-themes
This will install the following themes
If you want to install above themes separately use the following commands
sudo apt-get install showtime-theme
sudo apt-get install balanzan-theme
sudo apt-get install infinity-theme
sudo apt-get install wild-shine-theme
sudo apt-get install exotic-theme
sudo apt-get install tropical-theme
sudo apt-get install bamboo-zen-theme
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-sunrise-theme
sudo apt-get install aquadreams-theme
Remove Themes
If you want to remove full package use the following command
sudo apt-get remove zgegblog-themes
If you want to remove each theme use the following syntax
sudo apt-get remove themename
The themes are very nice, real good, but my login screen is not reflecting any change, what I can I do to get the same?
